Le Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) ou BHNS (Bus \u00e0 Haut Niveau de Service) en France, c'est simplement la r\u00e9alisation d'un syst\u00e8me de mobilit\u00e9 incluant un bus dans lequel on a augment\u00e9 les limites du p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre de l'\u00e9tude, en prenant donc en compte l'infrastructure, le paiement, l'information, l'acc\u00e8s, le temps total (incluant donc l'attente)… Bref, c'est un bus bien utilis\u00e9. Quand on ajoute la possibilit\u00e9 d'embarquer son v\u00e9lo (autre objet r\u00e9volutionnaire qui permet de faire quelques kilom\u00e8tres en quelques minutes, qui ne n\u00e9cessite pas d'infrastructure lourde, qui ne co\u00fbte pas grand chose…) on obtient un nouveau syst\u00e8me de mobilit\u00e9 qui combine la souplesse d'un mode actif \u00e0 un mode lourd, et qui offre une rentabilit\u00e9 co\u00fbt\/efficacit\u00e9 quasi imbattable. Ci dessous un exemple aux USA … qui nous vient historiquement de Bogota (le Sud apporte au Nord, exemple N\u00b01<\/em>).<\/p>\n

In the United States, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is growing in popularity as a transportation option for public agencies. Some agencies are putting out Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for  BRT installations, while many others are in the exploratory phase. <\/p>\n

However, Orange County in Los Angeles already has a wildly successful BRT system that was launched in 2004. In conjunction with the local rail system and the addition of more bike racks on buses<\/strong>, the BRT is a unique multi-modal transportation system that is available to commuters in L.A. 24 hours a day and cuts commute times by half. The system is now being modeled by other cities around the world.<\/p>\n
